Ablative Laser Resurfacing
Deeper Skin Renewal for Aging & Scarring
Ablative and fractional ablative laser resurfacing may be considered for:
- Deep wrinkles
- Surgical and traumatic scars
- Acne scars
- Significant sun damage
These treatments remove controlled layers of damaged skin to support skin renewal and collagen remodeling. Depending on the treatment depth and area, topical or local anesthesia may be used. Redness, swelling, and temporary skin sensitivity are common during recovery, with downtime varying according to the treatment protocol and individual response.
Non-Ablative Laser Resurfacing
Collagen Remodeling with Limited Downtime
Non-ablative lasers heat targeted layers of the skin while preserving the outer epidermis. They may be used for:
- Fine wrinkles
- Mild skin laxity
- Enlarged pores
- Stretch marks
- Acne scars, including selected rolling scars
By delivering controlled energy to the dermis, non-ablative resurfacing supports collagen remodeling and can improve skin texture and overall skin quality. Treatment parameters are adjusted according to skin type, the area being treated, and the specific concern.
Treatment Protocol
- Temporary redness or warmth may occur following treatment
- Strict sun protection, including SPF 50, is recommended
- A course of 3–4 sessions may be considered, typically spaced 2–4 weeks apart, depending on the treatment protocol
- Pre-treatment and post-treatment skincare recommendations are provided according to the individual procedure
Non-ablative laser technology may also be incorporated into treatment plans for concerns such as skin laxity, abdominal skin texture, and stretch marks.
